Summary

Another great book by Alice Oseman。 Immediately after reading the Heartstopper series, I knew that I wanted to read more by this author。 I think this book was a great story of friendship, the importance of fighting for your friendships, and about discovering your true self。 Oseman always makes you feel connected with the characters which is why I fell it's so easy to read her books。 You feel connected and you always want to know how it ends。 I can't wait to read more by her。 Another great book by Alice Oseman。 Immediately after reading the Heartstopper series, I knew that I wanted to read more by this author。 I think this book was a great story of friendship, the importance of fighting for your friendships, and about discovering your true self。 Oseman always makes you feel connected with the characters which is why I fell it's so easy to read her books。 You feel connected and you always want to know how it ends。 I can't wait to read more by her。 。。。more

this book was just amazing。 i had so much fun reading it & never wanted to put it down。 i love alice oseman’s writing and the way she depicts teenagers。 i could relate to the main characters & the things they were struggling with。 it just felt very real。also, i feel like academic pressure at this age is such an overlooked thing & i loved that the story also includes elements of that。 it just generally touches on so many different issues, which i really enjoyed。 i also love the diversity & that ( this book was just amazing。 i had so much fun reading it & never wanted to put it down。 i love alice oseman’s writing and the way she depicts teenagers。 i could relate to the main characters & the things they were struggling with。 it just felt very real。also, i feel like academic pressure at this age is such an overlooked thing & i loved that the story also includes elements of that。 it just generally touches on so many different issues, which i really enjoyed。 i also love the diversity & that (finally, for once) the main characters don’t fall in love, but stay besties。 alice oseman basically owns my heart idk what else to say。 。。。more

the 2014-2016 tumblr hit me so much while reading this, also the music references。 I don't know, it didn't really hit me because I'm done with university and also I never put that much importance to school, grades, etc。。。 Though if I had read this in 2015 it would be one of my favourite books I bet the 2014-2016 tumblr hit me so much while reading this, also the music references。 I don't know, it didn't really hit me because I'm done with university and also I never put that much importance to school, grades, etc。。。 Though if I had read this in 2015 it would be one of my favourite books I bet 。。。more

Just like with Solitaire, you do not have to read Heartstopper to understand this novel, but it certainly makes the experience more fun。 Also like Solitaire, Radio Silence handles some pretty dark topics, but if Solitaire was too upsetting for you, I highly recommend this book。 If you are a Heartstopper fan, this book is a great way to dive more into the universe Alice has created and more about these spectacular characters as well (especially Aled)。 This novel is the perfect mix of heartwarming Just like with Solitaire, you do not have to read Heartstopper to understand this novel, but it certainly makes the experience more fun。 Also like Solitaire, Radio Silence handles some pretty dark topics, but if Solitaire was too upsetting for you, I highly recommend this book。 If you are a Heartstopper fan, this book is a great way to dive more into the universe Alice has created and more about these spectacular characters as well (especially Aled)。 This novel is the perfect mix of heartwarming and heartbreaking。 As to be expected, Alice Oseman’s characters are fantastic and relatable and the plot is fun, loving, and emotionally taxing (in the best way, of course)。 Radio Silence follows Frances whose only goal in life is to get into Cambridge。 Her only real non-academic enjoyment is the podcast Universe City。 After a poorly planned night out that ends with her academic rival’s best friend passed out in her bed, Frances gets entangled with her favorite podcast more intimately than she could have ever imagined。 Universe City becomes so much more than just a podcast, for Frances, for other fans, and, most importantly, for the creator himself。 Radio Silence above anything else is a platonic love story and, honestly, we need more of those。 I really loved this book。 I loved the characters, the messages, and the love all of these people share for each other。 Warnings: abuse (emotional/physical), mentions of suicide, and language 。。。more

It took me so long to get into this book; so much so that I was going to DNF it multiple times。 The second half definitely felt like the stronger part of the book for me。 As I was learning more about the characters I became more invested in the story and cared more about the relatable characters。 I can see why people like this because it is really relatable。 However, I just really hated the main point of this book which was its focus on fandom and social media。 I found it so cringey and stupid t It took me so long to get into this book; so much so that I was going to DNF it multiple times。 The second half definitely felt like the stronger part of the book for me。 As I was learning more about the characters I became more invested in the story and cared more about the relatable characters。 I can see why people like this because it is really relatable。 However, I just really hated the main point of this book which was its focus on fandom and social media。 I found it so cringey and stupid tbh。 The writing was also really cringey at times。 This just wasn’t for me。 。。。more

A brilliant and exciting read which was all paced so well。 I was hooked by the characters and it’s impressive to see how Oseman has developed as a writer since their first novel! Their authentic portrayal of being a teenager and the troubles and confusing trepidations those years bring was hit on spot on。 Overall a really enjoyable read that I highly recommend!

8/10 i loved this book。 i really related to the main character and connected with her struggles。 the plot was fast paced and there was never a dull moment。 i was a little underwhelmed by the plot resolution and wouldve liked a little more drama but otherwise a very good read。

Bello bello!

I'm honestly not sure what i thought about this。It's well written and there are themes which are very familiar (exam/academic pressure, anonymity), but still quite a bit which is hard to believe (fast-forming friendships, and that no-one would have noticed or done anything about an abusive parent)。I found it a very uncomfortable read。 I'm honestly not sure what i thought about this。It's well written and there are themes which are very familiar (exam/academic pressure, anonymity), but still quite a bit which is hard to believe (fast-forming friendships, and that no-one would have noticed or done anything about an abusive parent)。I found it a very uncomfortable read。 。。。more
